HOTELS In &/or Near Hotchkiss CO/Colorado Moto Guzzi Rally There is one hotel in Hotchkiss, within walking distance to the Rally site:  Hotchkiss Inn Motel .  960-872-2200.  www.hotchkissinnmotel.com Other hotels nearly (within riding distance): Paonia -- 14 miles Crawford -- 14 miles Delta -- 21 miles  Cedaredge -- 32 miles Crawford is a quaint little town close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park Delta probably has the cheapest accommodations, but isn't as unique as the other three towns. Paonia is just down the road from Redstone, CO--with its own historic hotel; and the beautiful Crystal River Valley where you can find a 'hippy-dip' hot spring (Penny Hot Springs).  It is a region of fruit orchards. Cedaredge is on the way 'up' the Grand Mesa and is also a fun, orchard area.

Guzzi Bob Rally Fund

Bob Dickman of southern California passed away a few years ago. His wife, Ilene, asked his friend/riding buddy, Glenn Morgan, about what to do with his two remaining Guzzis, a 1000S and an 850T. One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was riding to Guzzi rallies and “not-a-rallies” around the west. Knowing that it’s a challenge to organize and put on any kind of a rally, in time, effort and money, GLENN GOT the idea of using the money from the sale of Bob’s bikes to create a fund to help people afford to put on Guzzi rallies The Colorado Moto Guzzi Rally is pleased to be a recipient of this fund that will allow us to establish a (hopefully) annual Colorado Moto Guzzi Rally.
